Martine Saul is a licensed professional counselor with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Point Park University and a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology (MSCP) from Chatham University. Her graduate field placements all took place within hospice and palliative care facilities, and she therefore, has experience and interest working with hospice patients as well as doing bereavement, grief and loss counseling with those patients and their loved ones.
Martine is also interested in working with older adults with a wide range of mental and physical disabilities, as she worked closely with older adults at an adult day program where she planned and executed daily activities for the participants. These activities were geared towards engaging all participants, especially those within the early stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Along with Martine’s work at Orenda Counseling Center, she co-facilitates a bereavement support group for Allegheny Health Network Hospice and Palliative Care at Western Pennsylvania Hospital, as well. She is also interested and participates in social advocacy work for the community.
Martine currently works full-time as an outpatient therapist at Pittsburgh Mercy, working with the aging, medically-complex, and grieving populations. Martine used to work as a service coordinator and through this position Martine has been gathering local and community resources to provide to all of her clients both through Service Coordination, as well as counseling.
Martine is trained to help children, adolescents, and adults in areas of health and well being, as well as to prepare and aid people for life’s many transitional periods.
