Angela Fidazzo is an intern working under Dr. Katie Stahler while completing her Ph.D. in School Psychology. She has currently earned her M.S.Ed. in Child Psychology from Duquesne University and has experience working with children of all ages through her practicum opportunities. Before interning at Orenda Counseling Center, Angela had four years of experience working with children in the school setting. She completed psychoeducational evaluations, group and individual therapy, parental training and consultation, skill building, and educational and psychological interventions.
Since August 2019, Angela has worked under the supervision of Dr. Stahler within the clinical setting. Angela provides a variety of psychological services including consultation, evaluation, and counseling. While working with Dr. Stahler, Angela has enhanced her skills in providing services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Anxiety Disorders while developing her ability to work with all diagnostic presentations.
Therapeutically, Angela is able to provide skill building services for children experiencing challenging behaviors, executive dysfunction, and difficulties with emotional regulation. In regards to treatment formulation, Angela utilizes practices based in cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, behavioral strategies, and dialectical behavior therapy. Furthermore, Angela is an EMDRIA-trained therapist, using EMDR to work with unprocessed trauma and challenges that accompany a variety of diagnoses.
